There is a reason Echo Academy exists.
When I was little, speaking didn’t come easily to me. I attended speech therapy and often struggled to express myself with confidence. But when I look back, what I remember most isn’t the challenge. It’s the teacher who changed everything.
My Grade 1 teacher, Mrs. Penny.
She had a classroom full of children, yet she always seemed to find time for me. She was patient, encouraging, and somehow made me believe in myself before I believed in myself. She didn’t just help me learn English. She gave me confidence.

Today, every lesson I teach and every piece of curriculum I create is designed with that same purpose in mind. I don’t just think about teaching English — I think about the child on the other side of the screen. I want every student to feel supported, encouraged, and confident enough to speak, make mistakes, ask questions, and grow.
At Echo Academy, we believe English is more than a school subject. It’s a skill that opens doors, builds confidence, and creates opportunities for life. That’s why our lessons support both academic success and real-world communication — helping students thrive in the classroom while becoming confident English speakers.
My hope is simple: that years from now, one of our students will remember their English journey not just because of what they learned, but because they had a teacher who believed in them.
That’s the academy I set out to build. And that’s the heart of Echo.
